Amsterdam, 13 March 2025– The Uruguayan airport terminal of Carrasco was distinguished by the Airports Council International, based on the opinions of more than 700,000 people.

The Carrasco International Airport was honored for the quality of its services.
The Carrasco International Airport was awarded as the best airport (up to 2 million passengers) in Latin America and the Caribbean during 2024 by the Airports Council International (ACI), being the second time that the airport terminal receives this award, after being recognized for the first time in 2019.
Using a rigorous methodology, the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) award collects the opinions of more than 700,000 people and real-time comments from travelers on a wide variety of aspects in airports, to establish an objective comparison that rewards and determines the best terminals by size and region.

The Operations and Experience Manager of Airports Uruguay, Federico Cabrera, stated in this regard: “We are very proud to receive this award, because it comes from the opinions of the passengers themselves and recognizes the effort of all our collaborators to provide the best experience to everyone who passes through Carrasco Airport.”
He also noted that this is also a recognition “to the entire airport community,” as well as “the public agencies that work in the terminal, the airlines, concessionaires, suppliers, and all the companies that day by day are essential to provide an exceptional experience to passengers.”
Carrasco ranked among the best airports in the world in passenger experience

In that sense, Cabrera celebrated that the distinction drives them to “continue carrying forward a strategy centered on the passenger experience, and highlights the value of working together with all actors in the ecosystem. It is a milestone that reinforces our commitment to giving Uruguay a world-class gateway to the world.”
The ASQ Awards Ceremony will take place on September 10, 2025, as part of the ACI Annual Airport Experience Summit, which will be held from September 8 to 11 in Guangzhou, China.
